Setup and assign application review periods

uControl provides the ability to schedule application review alerts to be sent to all application owners. These alerts will require the application owner to login to uControl, verify that all linked components, the excluded components and possible additional components are correct for the application. Once completed the application review date is reset and the application is updated with the last reviewer (Application owner that completed the work) and date of last validation.

Create Application Reviews

By default the application review period for an application is set to "None". EG. no application review alert will be created for the application. Application review periods need to be setup before setting an application review against an application. To set these up:

  1. Navigate to the Modules → Configure → Review Settings
  2. Select the add "Plus" button
  3. Enter a name for the review period and set the frequency, start date / time and the reminder in days for email notifications

For example to setup a 3 month review starting on the 1st June 2019, with the application owners being notified 15 days prior to the review date the settings would be as follows:

Assign as Application Review to an application

Different application review periods can be set per application. To add an application review schedule to an application:

  1. Navigate to the Modules → uMap → Manage Application screen
  2. Select an application and select the "Edit" table function
  3. Change the application review period to the desired review period
  4. Click "Update"
