The following table is to be used as a guide for hardware requirements. Actual requirements will need to be calculated based on data imported and activated / licensed modules.

Storage
The uControl Virtual machine is supplied with a default 65GB disk. This disk is partitioned with the following key Mount Points:

As a guide, importing a discovered host will consume around 2.0 MB within the database. Without the use of backups (that will required additional space), the following table can be used as a sizing guide:

The above totals are for Discovered Hosts Only with all schemas and relationships activated. Additional datasources will increase the storage space needed, limiting the schemas to import will decrease storage space needed.

The backup of uControl are compressed by default. Typical size of the backups are defined in the following table:
